It's obvious that it's still selling well because the general public havent got a clue about the all the DRM crap or even what DRM is.

I garauntee if you walk into a game store and ask someone whose just bought it do they know about DRM they'd look at you like you'd 2 heads.

There arent enough people that know and even less that care, for this game to have been boycotted.

Well they wont be affected by it yet, no. But a few years down the line after buying a new PC and/or getting viruses or computer errors that require formatting or removing the game. They'll sure as hell know at that point.

The game will be useless to them. I realise most people dont play their older games like I do, but for people like myself its a major headache & requires me to own both the pirate & legitimate copies to be able to play it in future.

But if people don't know what it is and won't be affected by it then technically there's no problem. It's those who intend to install it multiple times that will be hit by it which EA states they don't want you to do and most games state that, they just don't enforce it.
