Ubisoft Working On Next-Gen Tech?

Ubisoft’s new Toronto studio is establishing a new technology division where it’s thought they may start work on development for the eighth console generation tech. Studio head, Jade Raymond commented:
"I can’t talk too much about it, but I will say that Toronto has a technology group, building central tech for Ubisoft, and that’s going to be the team that starts looking towards the future. Real cutting-edge stuff."
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has discussed the next console generation several times, saying that he expects it to launch in 2012, so it makes sense that the company would be looking to develop graphics engines in the near future. The studio has a 10 year plan to grow from its current 50 staff to 800 employees.
