UK supermarket Tesco is trialling their own preowned games campaign in some of their stores across the UK in attempts to join the already flourishing second-hand games market.
The supermarket chain is currently running print adverts in various newspapers showing their trade-in values for some of the newest titles and also promoting that trade-in credit can then be redeemed against anything they have in store. Consumers will also be able to purchase pre-owned titles from participating stores over the next few weeks once their preowned stock increases.
60 of their stores are currently accepting game trade-ins which have expanded from the initial store at Basildon Pitsea that the trial originally began with late last year.
If it takes off you'll be able to trade in a few titles to cover your week's food shopping through your local Tesco if money is tight until the next payday. Do you think it's a good idea that Tesco is trying to work its way into the pre-owned games market in the UK?
