UK developer System 3 has announced its upcoming title Ferrari: The Race Experience won't see a retail launch on PS3, but will instead release entirely through PlayStation Network as a digital product.
The developer hopes to cut out expenses involved in packaging, shipping and marketing of the physical product through traditional channels.
However, due to Nintendo's rule against the release of major titles through digital distribution, the Wii version will still see a physical media release.
It's due for release next month on PS3 and Wii.
