Pokemon Black And White Has Surprising Gameplay Wrinkle

One of the things about newer Pokemon games is that, along with new monsters, one can also recruit monsters that have been featured in past games. What is Pokemon if not a way to beat up on Rattata? However, Pokemon Black and White will have something different, according to GameFreak's Junichi Masuda:

"In Black and White, right up to the ending, it's all new Pokemon... I want children and adults to be on the same level. Like with (Pokemon) Red and Green, I want them to wonder 'what is this Pokemon?' and make it fun."

He goes on to state that people who have played the game are noting how fresh and "completely new" the game is.
