Itagaki Believes Japanese Games Industry Is Dying

Another Japanese developer has chimed in to say the industry in the East is dying. This time it's ultra cool shade-wearing-247 Tomonobu Itagaki who expressed his agreement with comments made by Capcom's Keiji Inafune:
“I agree."

“Japan failed to import capitalism, or rather, it failed to understand the lessons of capitalism, of the free market economy. What I’m talking about isn’t just limited to the games industry. I’m talking about what has happened in Japan since the ’60s. Japan’s destiny – the destiny of this era – was already determined then.”
While not dissing on their games industry, Itagaki's studio is currently working on Devil's Third, due for release on Xbox 360 and PS3.
