Ubisoft Believes 3D TVs Will Conquer Homes Over The Next 3 Years

Murray Pannel, head of Ubisoft marketing in the UK, believes that by 2014 almost all homes will have a stereoscopic TV screen at home and that over 50% of the games will profit from it:
“It’ll start slowly this year. But like HDTV I wouldn’t rule out the fact that this will be installed in everyone’s living room in three year’s time, and for us to be in a position to have content that could really look absolutely amazing in 3D.”
Sony has made a definite push on 3D stereoscopic technology this year as it showed this E3 and almost everyone agrees that the release of the 3DS will increase the popularity of the technology.

However, there is one thing that must change if Ubisoft's predictions come true: prices must definitely be more accessible (right now the price is just not worth it and, at least for gamers, the core experience will not change dramatically...) and the industry has to work its way out of the freakin' glasses with the big screens!
