Espionage spy RPG Alpha Protocol won’t be getting a sequel due to lacklustre sales. Sega West president Mike Hayes commented:
Alpha Protocol developer Obsidian is currently working on Fallout: New Vegas, and have recently announced that they are working on Dungeon Siege 3 for Square Enix.
"Let's speak very commercially... The game hasn't sold what we've expected, therefore we won't be doing a sequel."Alpha Protocol came out at the end of May amongst a slew of big releases including Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Blur, Split/Second, ModNation Racers, and, of course, Red Dead Redemption. It received above average reviews on the PS3 and 360 scoring in the mid-60s on average, although fared better critically on the PC; however most reviewers specifically pointed out a lack of polish and frustrating gameplay and AI flaws.
