PlayStation Move Is A Virtual Reality Controller

Sony doesn't consider the PlayStation Move peripheral as just a motion controller, or blatant Wii rip off. Instead, SCEA senior researcher Richard Marks has branded it as a virtual reality controller:

“We like to think of it sometimes, instead of a motion controller, as a virtual reality controller."

“Really, it’s a 3D, manipulate the world, reach into the scene, do what you want type of controller that didn’t exist before.”

PlayStation Move arrives in Europe first, on September 15th, follow by a US launch on September 19th, with Japan getting it on October 21st.
