An analyst from the company Caris & Co believes that 15-25% of Xbox 360 owners will pick up Microsoft’s motion control device Kinect within a year of it being on sale and that it will make the company as much as $1bn through this period.
According to a report on Barrons.com, "Kinect could generate $2bn in incremental consumer spending on video games in the first year after launch, with 50-60 per cent of that going to Microsoft itself”.
Well, Microsoft do have a decent amount of market share and given the device is due for release this year we will see if sales are as prosperous as the predicted or not.
