Michael Jackson Zombie Likeness Removed From Plants Vs Zombies

The estate of former pop star Michael Jackson has demanded that the likeness of the singer from his Thriller video be removed from an update of the game. A spokesperson from Popcap, the publisher of the game, had this to say on the matter:
“The Estate of Michael Jackson objected to our use of the 'dancing zombie' in Plants vs. Zombies based on its view that the zombie too closely resembled Michael Jackson.”

“After receiving this objection, PopCap made a business decision to retire the original 'dancing zombie' and replace it with a different 'dancing zombie' character for future builds of Plants vs. Zombies on all platforms. The phase-out and replacement process is underway.”
Seems that even though the king of pop is long gone his legacy most certainly lives on and can make changes even after death. Still, we should respect the wishes of those who were closest to Jackson when he was alive but you only have to look on YouTube to see even worse examples of misuse of Jackson’s image, so…
