1 Vs 100 “Show” Cancelled

Microsoft has announced that there will be no 3rd season of the TV show based game 1 Vs 100. Microsoft bet heavily in the beginning on the game reaching a record of 114,000 simultaneous players on its BETA phase, but since then the show has slipped under the radar a bit and has never reached again that number of players.

After 2 seasons, the team behind 1 Vs 100 will now work on something new based on the technology that inspired the show as Microsoft has confirmed; as usual, no details just yet. Microsoft Games Studios General Manager Dave McCarthy excused himself through the 1 Vs 100 Blog:
"When we started on this journey, we knew we were creating an entirely new genre of entertainment that would be a continually evolving concept. We’re very proud of the 1 vs 100 team and their accomplishments, and are excited to apply what we’ve learned to future programming.”

"We're sorry to have kept you waiting in suspense before having to deliver this kind of news. We fully understand how some of you may be upset about the announcement. We hope you understand that it wasn’t an easy decision to make and there was a great deal of deliberation."
We'll have to wait to see what Microsoft is cooking up.
