Following the recent announcement of the Xbox 360 Slim, Microsoft has announced that prior released models of the machine are getting a price reduction as well. The Xbox 360 Arcade will be reduced to $149 and the Xbox 360 Elite will be reduced to $249.
This can only be good for Microsoft to get more Xbox 360 units out of the door but from my experience of my last holiday in New York retailers who sell games like Best Buy and GameStop don’t typically reduce the prices much for 2nd hand hardware over the new price.
I think we get a better deal in the UK as 2nd hand goods typically can drop substantially from their new price within a reasonable amount of time but still, paying less to play more is never a bad thing.
