Japanese PS3 Gamers To Get 3D Content From June 10th

Sony is due to release the first of their 3D content for PS3 users on June 10th with games such as Wipeout HD, Super Stardust HD and Pain utilising the 3D technology in their games. The updates will be free for the first two games where as users will have to pay ¥300 for the 3D facility in Pain. Although this is currently for Japan only Sony may soon announce their release plans for of the facility for the Western markets as well. Finally, the release is to coincide with Sony's first 3D-enabled Bravia TVs, hence the June 10th launch date.

Sounds good and all but will gamers be willing to pay a premium all over again to game in 3D. Firstly only the tech-heads and the rich, the everyone else a couple of years later tends to be the trend with this sort of thing.
