Speaking from the desk of the bloody obvious, worldwide product marketing manager of Xbox, Ryan Moore has said it'll be the hardcore audience who purchase Microsoft Kinect first when it releases this November, not the casual audience:
“I think we know that hardcore gamers will be the first to go out and buy it, as they are with any product."Oddly enough people who don't give a crap about the Xbox 360 aren't going to go buy it because a not-so-cheap peripheral is released in time for Christmas.
“We know we have to have a wide range of experiences, from things like the animals game you saw today to… games that are more geared towards the core."
“I would expect a wide range of products to be released this holiday.”
