Dungeon Siege 3 In The Works

Square Enix has announced that Dungeon Siege 3, the classic PC game series developed by Gas Powered Games (founded by Chris Taylor AKA “Total Annihilation”), is being developed by sequel professionals Obsidian Entertainment. For the first time, the series will see its way into consoles, releasing it on Xbox 360, PS3 and, of course, PC. Obsidian will be entirely in charge though they will work with Chris Taylor as advisor.

The game has been promised to contain a deep story and morale system where all decisions will affect possible allies and enemies and, therefore, the possible end. If we keep in mind the way the recent Alpha Protocol worked in this particular feature, we can hope for the best. Also confirmed has been a co-op mode.

Obsidian keep themselves busy with the recent release of Alpha Protocol, the development of Fallout: New Vegas and, now, Dungeon Siege 3.
