You've read properly: Anime. EA has announced a deal between BioWare and Japanese animation distributor FUNimation to release an anime film based on the Dragon Age universe. BioWare's Executive Producer Mark Darrah and Creative Director Mike Laidlaw will be the ones to produce the movie alongside FUNimation's Chris Moujaes to make sure that the world envisioned by BioWare has a faithful representation in the anime movie. Darrah commented:
“Anime is a great medium for us to continue the robust Dragon Age story, partnering with FUNimation ensures that we are delivering the exceptional quality and entertainment value that our Dragon Age fans expect.”EA continues with the tendency to expand their titles through different media as it has previously done with Dante's Inferno and Dead Space.
