THQ Founder Passes Away

The founder of THQ, Jack Friedman, died last week at the age of 70. He founded THQ in 1989 where he was chief executive and president until 1995 when founded the company Jakks Pacific. Jaks' CEO Stephen Berman had this to say about the industry legend:
“Jack was a legendary toymaker and a real titan in our industry. He will be sorely missed. On behalf of all Jakks employees, we send our sincere condolences to his wife Karen and his children for their loss.”
The Jakks’ board of directors added:
“We are greatly saddened by the passing of Jack Friedman. He was a visionary leader who guided the company with wisdom and keen judgement.”
It is always sad to lose someone who has contributed so much to the industry. May he rest in peace and all our well wishes to his family and friends.
