Square Enix Profits On The Up

Square Enix Holdings has recently reported decent profits for its most recent financial year results. These include a revenue increase of 42% and a net income increase of 50% on the last financial year. Games that have been noted as contributing to their profitability are Final Fantasy XIII, Dragon Quest IX & VI, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. The merger with Eidos has also been cited as a contributor to the company's prosperity.

Like Konami not all companies have struggled this financial year but it would be unrealistic to expect increased profits year upon year unless said companies release the same number of must-have titles annually. Still, looks like Square Enix will be cracking open the wine if they haven't already in celebration.
