Sony Revises Profits Forecast

Sony has released a revised forecast for the upcoming year's profits ahead of its upcoming financial reports this Thursday. Sony had this to say on the matter in a recent statement:
"Within the Networked Products & Services segment, operating results are expected to exceed the February forecast by approximately 10 billion yen (£71m / $107m) mainly due to improved performance within the game business and VAIO PCs as a result of better than anticipated reductions in both operating expenses and manufacturing cost."
No surprise that every major company in the games business seems to have either experienced a decline in profits or has had to revise their profit expectations. Still, better for the company to set realistic goals than expect as prosperous gains as those years when the games market was flourishing.
