Lawsuit Filed By Nintendo Against Seller Of R4 Device

Nintendo has recently raised a lawsuit against New York based online retailer NXPGAME in efforts to stop sales of the piracy-friendly device for the DS. The website has already received previous requests to cease selling the device and although had temporarily stopped had then gone on to continue selling the R4 through new web addresses, it has been reported.

I can't blame Nintendo for taking this stance. After all, you wouldn't want to work hard on something that is your livelihood only for someone to give it away for free. Even if the company is as large as Nintendo they have a right to pursue cases like this and if people must get and R4 device then they will still find ways of doing so but companies such as NXPGAME should be aware it will often be them and not the consumer that gets shot in the foot as a result.
