In a recent interview with industry magazine Develop, TIGA CEO Richard Wilson commented that a hung parliament could work in favour of the games industry. Here is a snippet of what he had to say on the matter:
“We've come such a long way. All the major parties have stated commitments to tax measures to help support the UK games industry. I feel there is a growing consensus about the issue. No minority government will want to upset more people than it has to.”You can read his full response here but this pretty much paints a good picture of the support the UK games industry needs to be a reasonable competitor in the world market. That and as long as it means more quality games for us, the better.
