Codemasters Shuts Down Hamburg Office

Codemasters has announced that they are due to close their Hamburg office in Germany when operations are wound down at the end of May. Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens had this to say on the matter:
"We are cementing our relationship with Koch Media as our new distribution partner for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as part of our market access strategy for that region."

"Through that handover the need to have an additional office for territory operations is changing and the process of winding down the Hamburg office will be complete in June. We thank everyone who played a valuable role in working with us there both recently and in the past.”
Again all the best to those who will be affected. It appears that even when companies are turning a profit jobs are still not secure in the games industry. Let's hope it gets back to that position someday soon.
