Bungie Signs 10 Year Publishing Deal With Activision

We know this isn't hot off the presses, but seeing as our editor Mark was busy having his hand re-attached when news broke, we couldn't publish anything until now, and it's fairly important we have this covered in our archives, so without further delay...

Bungie, alias Halo, has signed a deal with Activision to publish their games for the next 10 years. Their next game, a new IP, will be the first to benefit from this deal. President of Bungie Harold Ryan commented:
"We chose to partner with Activision on our next IP because of their global reach, multi-platform experience and marketing expertise. From working together over the past nine months on this agreement, it is clear that Activision supports our commitment to giving our fans the best possible gaming experiences."
This comes in an important moment for Activision after the resigning last week of CEO Mike Griffith and the sequels of the lay-offs of West and Zampella and the numerous resignations that have followed their departure leaving Infinity ward in a very delicate position. Plus the royalties fights continue with rumors that Activision is holding part of them till Modern Warfare 3.

We might finishing up having Halo cereals in a Call of Duty bowl for breakfast.
