"You don't make any choices, you don't create a character, you don't live your character."Agree to disagree but although I can understand the point of view of someone who typically works on Western RPGs it could also be argued that FFXIII meets the criteria for what an old-fashioned RPG should offer mixed with some new experimental ideas. I get the impression Mr. Erickson doesn't like the latest iteration but in the same respect not every RPG has to allow you to design your character to be an RPG. Even games such as Resident Evil and Parasite Eve could be classified as such because you are controlling a character and playing through a story. Still, good to here another voice on the matter.
