Super Street Fighter IV Almost Had Rolento In Roster

Producer of upcoming title Super Street Fighter IV Yoshinori Ono has commented recently that Final Fight boss character Rolento almost made the roster but lost out in the end:

"On our list, Birdie and Sodom were bottom. "But Rolento was quite close. In fact, there's actually a stage in Super Street Fighter IV that is supposed to be Rolento's stage. We weren't sure until the last minute whether it should be Rolento or Adon. In the end, Adon won by a small margin but it was close."

"We weren't aware that Adon is so popular. Obviously people from the Alpha 3 days loved him because he's so strong. In the end, the popularity became two or three times more compared to Rolento, so we had to pick him."

Well, there’s always hope for if and when a third update gets released for Street Fighter IV. Time will tell if this is the case.
