Sony Bundle Free 3D PS3 Games With Their 3D TV’s

Full versions of Wipeout HD and Super Stardust HD plus demo versions of MotorStorm Pacific Rift and PAIN will be shipped with Sony’s 3D TV’s in a bid to attract pocket wary customers to the next generation of visual beauty.

Sony say that the firmware update for 3D gaming will be available over the PlayStation Network before the 3D TVs ship. They also said that 3D Blu-ray copies of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and Deep Sea will come as part of the bundle.

The company has unveiled the first in the Bravia HX800 series of 3D televisions which they have claimed will make 3D home viewing ‘affordable’. Affordable of course remaining a relative term at this point as no pricing details have been given.

Sony have said that their TV’s will be in store in time for the World Cup; 25 matches are to be recorded in 3D but that’s no use to any of us Brits given that none of the World Cup broadcasters plan to offer them in 3D. D’oh!
