Sony’s karaoke series SingStar is going to enjoy an online game mode for the first time in its six year existence.
With the update in June singers (if they can be called that) will be able to compete with a new game mode called Online Battle Mode. Players can send invites to their mates for a battle of the vocals and the software will produce a list of songs that both users have.
There will be support for the PS3 Eye camera and opponents can be seen in real time.
Gamers can already download new tunes from the SingStore and there will be a host of other online features in the My SingStar community portal.
