Red Dead Redemption Promotion Hitting Big Screen

Red Dead Redemption Red Dead Redemption Red Dead Redemption

Rockstar GM Neil Stephen has said that in their promotional campaign leading up to the game’s release in May they will also be utilising cinema advertising for the first time. He said on the matter:
"We are spending a larger proportion of our TV budget pre-launch than we ever have before to ensure Red Dead Redemption is established as a massive triple-A title."

"In terms of sales projections, we are aiming high and as such are focusing more attention on retail channels than ever before."
This together with supposed Bluetooth downloads that cinema goers will be able to get from promotional posters for the game and it all sounds like a very interesting way to promote the upcoming Western-themed sandbox game. I’m just surprised this is the first time Rockstar are promoting a game via the cinema. Wasn’t GTA IV promoted in this manner as well? Must be imagining things.
