PlayStation Network Accounts Being Hijacked

Recent reports have surfaced regarding PSN users having their accounts hijacked by hackers who are illegally accessing users’ personal information.

One such example is PSN user Dom Gurrera who had $350 charged to his credit card for PSN content he didn’t authorise. Apparently this came about due to a chain e-mail scheme that he partook in for free PSN content.

If this is true, rule one of the internet is never give your details to an unconfirmed and most definitely if it’s through an unsecure page/server. Otherwise this can happen. Let’s hope the issue gets resolved soon.
