Not quite Hollywood blockbuster-style earnings but I’m sure over time the gap will narrow between the games industry’s biggest titles and Hollywood films. I bet within 10 years we’ll see them match each other for earnings (maybe).

The famed first-person shooter has achieved an entry into the Guinness book of World Records with holding the most successful entertainment launch of all time and first day sales of more than £242.4m.
