Kojima Believes Gaming Hardware Will Die Off Eventually

In a news conference to promote the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Kojima made some surprising statements regarding the future of gaming.
"In the near future, we'll have games that don't depend on any platform.”

"Gamers should be able to take the experience with them in their living rooms, on the go, when they travel -- wherever they are and whenever they want to play. It should be the same software and the same experience.”
His declaration forced a nervous response from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan President Hiroshi Kawano that considered Kojima's words to be “a bold prediction”. Though it could be a bit far-fetched, a single gaming platform would finally finish the difficult choice gamers are put through to choose a system.

Other interesting comments made by Kojima is that he could be considering entering the movie industry in a near future.
