Itagaki Needs Vices To Get His Ideas Flowing

Tomonobu Itagaki has recently said that without cigarettes, alcohol and gambling he can’t put his mind to work and make games. When 1UP asked the games designer which of the vices was most important to him he replied:

"It's already clear. I can't make a game without all of them."

He said that whilst working on his newest project he has:

"During this period I've consumed at least 1,000 shochu sake bottles. I've also shot a million photos with my D-SLRs (Digital Single-Lens Reflex cameras). I've put over 2,000 train cars on my railway model layouts. I'll leave the rest to your imagination."

Well, no surprise that his former games have had healthy doses of perversion, tits, arse and violence in then. Still, the guy doesn’t make bad games after all. Let’s hope his new project turns out to be great.
