Rare Won’t Visit Old Series

Unless they can add something new that is… Rare chief Mark Betteridge has said that the developer:

"would only go back to older franchises if we saw an opportunity to make the product in a different way that would do justice to [them]."

"It'd be nice to go back to these projects that have been successful in the past but that doesn't mean we will."

He added that there "isn't a need" to revamp the older series’, series’ which established Rare’s fan base hugely during the N64 era.

Comments which of course come amidst the release of Perfect Dark on Xbox Live Arcade alongside Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. Poor timing eh?

We for one are glad to hear it anyway.
