Nintendo Plans DS Integration For Education In Classrooms

Shigeru Miyamoto picked up in London earlier this week, the BAFTA Fellowship gong award where he made some statements referring to Nintendo’s plans and his own ambitions.

Miyamoto assured that he is personally working to get the DS in classrooms as an aid to teachers, in fact his statement was:
“That is maybe the area where I am devoting myself [the] most.”
Considering the amount of educational software the DS has at the moment it shouldn’t necessarily be so far-fetched that the DS could be used as an education tool; in fact, as Miyamoto stated, it is already being used in some galleries and museums for the tours.

He included that it might arrive in Japanese schools by the beginning of next school year.
