A filing found by SuperAnnuation reveals New Line Cinema had interests in making a movie based on PS3 title 'Heavy Rain' back in 2006/07. The filing was a 'Short Form Option' meaning New Line Cinema would have the rights to make a movie, if they chose to.
This doesn't mean any plans for a movie are in place, but the legal option is there.
