Activision has announced a new developer for the Call of Duty Series. Sledgehammer Games will "extend the franchise into the action-adventure genre" for 2011.
The publisher will form a "dedicated business unit that will bring together its various new brand initiatives with focused, dedicated resources around the world".
This announcement comes after news that that two top level staff were fired and actually ejected from Infinity Ward. We will have to wait and see if Infinity Ward will remain the core developers of the series.
