A Eurogamer review has shown how EA has jumped into Ubisoft’s conflictive anti-piracy initiative. We are of course, talking about the cursed DRM system that obliges players to be online at all times to play the game.
Command & Conquer 4 for the PC, includes a DRM system… of sorts. The excuse here is the levelling system where the player is rewarded with new available units and tech tree as they play; it works on a similar way to Modern Warfare’s multiplayer level up.
The move is quite surely unfortunate. DRM might be a solution for publishers, but it just doesn’t make the cut for gamers that invest their money on an original copy.
