More of a light-hearted post, but deserves a mention. A blind man who with the help of his friends managed to beat the trials and tribulations of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time to complete the game.
Although it took the player over two years to finish the game it is still an incredible achievement for someone who has had something most take for granted taken away from them and yet still able to play through an RPG in its entirety. The player himself, Jordan Verner, had said:
