Analyst Says PS3 Will Outsell All Systems By End Of Cycle

Microsoft Xbox 360 Console Hardware Sony Playstation 3 Console Hardware Nintendo Wii Console Hardware

A report from the Strategy Analytics Connected Home Devices (SACHD) service, has predicted that by the end of this current console cycle (whenever that is…), the PS3 will outsell both the Wii and the Xbox 360.

Davis Mercer, the author of the report, stated that this year less hardware will be sold. He also emphasized on the Wii saying:
“The signs are that the Wii has peaked in terms of console sales, and its installed base will begin to decline after 2011."
Many key moments are still to come, especially for Sony and Microsoft and their respective Arc (to call it somehow) and Natal controllers.

The estimated current sales count stands at 68 million Wiis, 38 million Xbox 360s and 32.5 PS3s.
