Tetris: Party Deluxe Will Release As Retail Title

WiiWare title Tetris: Party Deluxe will see its way into retail both for the Wii and Nintendo DS thanks to a collaboration between Tetrisonline.com and Majesco. For now a US version has been confirmed for June, with the European release date yet to be confirmed.

Minoru Arakawa, president and chief executive officer of Tetris Online, commented on this agreement:

"After seeing how well 'Tetris Party' was received on WiiWare, we immediately began working with Hudson Soft to develop an even more impressive version of the game intended to reach larger audiences at retail for both Wii and Nintendo DS.”

Tetris is the most successful game ever, its first version being originally designed and programmed by Alexey Pazhitnov back in 1984… a long run that’s not likely to stop.
