PS3 Cross-Game Communication To Be Premium Privilege

The cross-game communication for the PS3 is one of the several developments expected to be introduced later this year for the console. The most recent issue of US Official PlayStation Magazine has speculated that the feature only be inclusive in the subscription club of the PlayStation Network.

As the service name suggests, players who purchase a subscription to the PlayStation Network will be granted the ability to talk in real time to gamers over the headset regardless of the game they are playing (provided the recipient is also online obviously).

The magazine's thoughts are not based upon any official source but their prediction does fit into the conclusions formed from consumer surveys by Sony on the PlayStation Network and paid for content.
