Nintendo of America has revealed its hardware estimates for December 2009 ahead of the official NPD data release due on January 14th. The firm has predicted sales of at least 3 million for the Wii i December.
Nintendo also estimates that DS and DSi set an all-time calendar-year US sales record for any console or handheld system, and that lifetime US sales of New Super Mario Bros Wii will hit 4 million. Nintendo of America's Cammie Dunaway commented:
