Apple has released via iTunes the Rewind 2009 feature, which shows the best selling and best rated apps of 2009. In the games best selling list, EA Games has proved itself a force to reckon with in this new market with 4 titles in the top 5 all of which are known names to gamers like The Sims 3, Need for Speed: Undercover, Madden NFL 09 and Tiger Woods PGA tour.
Other achievers were Gameloft with two titles in the list and independent studio Firemint with their Flight Control.
A fierce competition is expected on this market for next year as developers continue to learn how to use the software better and we can expect other Indie games to make it on next year’s top 10.
