Tony Hawk Insists RIDE Is Not A Gimmick

Poor Tony Hawk is standing by his latest title, Tony Hawk: RIDE which features a ridable plastic skateboard deck insisting it's not a 'gimmick' after it was universally panned at review:

“I feel like the device is a flagship for other games. I think we can do another skate game, I think we can do other board-type games, surfing, snowboarding. That really was the master plan."

“I didn’t think it was some gimmick that people were going to have to buy again next year.”

And yet they're talking about a sequel...
