Green Day Rock Band On The Way

MTV, announced on Saturday at the 2009 Spike Video Games Awards that it had made a deal to produce a Green Day version of Rock Band, similar to the The Beatles version.

CEO Alex Rigopulos told fans that this would be an opportunity to create a more personal connection with the band:

“We are thrilled to work with [them] to revisit key moments from their career, including their likenesses, content and imagery, through our innovative form of musical interaction.”

This likely one instance where gamers can look as cool as the band they’re emulating. No release date has been given yet.
