China To Increase Inspection In Online Games

Certain online games with desires of expanding on the Chinese mainland might have an unexpected problem: Censorship. The General Administration of Press and Publication of China stopped the examination on WoW’s second expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King, and turned down the application filed by netease.com, and will shut down or amerce all unlicensed servers for online games.

In this last year more than 5,000 videogame companies have been examined and over 204 illegal games were discovered to operate in the Chinese mainland.
