Oh dear, reports are suggesting that Assassin's Creed II has a 'game breaking glitch' to watch out for. The problem occurs with the auto-save after completing Sequence 11. If you turn off your console, the next time you boot the game up, it will load the hideout level but won't allow you to proceed as normal. This effectively ends the game, forcing a full restart.
Ubisoft haven't officially commented on this but expect something soon along the lines of 'we're looking into it and will fix it' but for now, we'd advise players to push onto the next auto-save after completing Sequence 11 before turning off their console.
