Project Natal To Replace The Remote Control

Marc Whitten, general manager of Xbox Live, has commented that Project Natal is expected to "be the largest leap of TV experience since the remote control":
"I don't believe we are currently in the golden age of the television or the golden age of the game console or the golden age of the internet; frankly, five years from now I don't know that you'll be able to tell the difference between those worlds."
Whitten also predicts that Natal will soon be able to identify occupants of a room by appearance and voice and to then bring up information that might be of interest to them, adding:
"One channel, with what I want, when I want it.”
There won’t be a need for the remote control as users should be able to use simple motions of the hand and/or voice to navigate between content.
