Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Sets New Benchmark

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has smashed sales records which were set last year in April 2008 by Grand Theft Auto IV. Modern Warfare 2 sold 4.7 million copies in the first day of its release reaping £186 million from UK and US sales alone. In contrast, GTA IV sold a mere 631,000 copies in its first day.

Of these purchases Microsoft enjoyed a 2:1 ratio against the Playstation 3. Official figures have not yet been released.
